ABOUT ABOUT

Dr. Ken Haddix was a professor in the School of Music at Eastern Kentucky University until he lost his battle with cancer in August. He was devoted to his family and was a friend and mentor to many all over Kentucky. Dr. Ken Haddix was well-known in the community and he positively changed the lives of everyone around him-especially his students. A scholarship has been started in his name at Eastern Kentucky University, the fund has reached about $6000 and will be endowed so that it continues in perpetuity once it reaches $10,000.

The EKU chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, an international music fraternity, will be hosting a benefit concert in honor of Dr.Ken Haddix. The EKU chapter of Phi Mu Alpha, another music fraternity and the School of music will be helping with the benefit concert. Performers will include EKU music students, Madison Middle School Jazz Band, Dr. Richard Crosby, and a few others. The concert will be held in Brock Auditorium on Eastern's campus on Sunday, November 22nd. The doors will open at 6:30pm and the concert will begin at 7 pm.
